1. How does this website work?

Green-Ethic is a community of people who have adopted a light-hearted approach to finding effective ways to support fair trade and humanitarian causes.

  • Green-Ethic is a community of registered members
  • To become a member all you need to do is register on our website (registration is free)
  • Registered members can participate in discussions on our forum, vote in the Ethical Art Gallery and place orders

Why a community?

  • Our members participate directly in the development of a range of fair-trade fashion garments.
  • We share common values.
  • We believe in sustainable trade.
  • We believe that our environment is fragile and we want to protect it. Certified organic cotton is the main raw material used to manufacture our garments.
  • We believe that sharing is a fundamental value. Therefore two percent of our total sales (excluding VAT) are donated to humanitarian and ecological organizations.
  • Our members can share their thoughts or ideas on environmental-related topics with other members across Europe in our Forum.
  • We want to share our message with as many people as possible.
  • Finally, we want to make a difference and express our opinions and ideas, our ultimate aspiration being to help the most disadvantaged people.

Voting system

  • We devised a voting system to give our members an opportunity to give feedback on the work of our designers listed in the Ethical Art Gallery.
  • A member can vote for several products in the Ethical Art Gallery but can only vote once for the same product. Two, five or ten points can be allocated.
  • Once 500 units of an existing product have been sold via the Online Shop, the product(s) in the Ethical Art Gallery that has received the most votes is then selected for the manufacturing stage and removed from the gallery. Our system takes into account the fact that we offer advance payment to our producers.
  • The product that has been removed from the Ethical Art Gallery will be replaced by a new product as soon as possible.
  • The selected product will be available with our new seasonal product range (either with spring/summer or autumn/winter products depending on the product).

3. Our fund

  • It is important to us and all our members that in our support of humanitarian and ecological actions we are fully transparent about the way the money is managed.
  • To that end, our Fund is supervised by an independent adjudicator, Maître Ludovic Bonnevialle, whose contact details can be found on the Fund main page.
  • Green-Ethic is committed to donating two percent of its total sales (minus VAT) to the Fund.
  • We have selected three actions.
  • When a member buys a product, he/she will be requested to enter the reference number of the action to be supported.
  • Each member can support a different action every time he/she makes a purchase.
  • Each time a member buys a product, the total value spent (minus VAT) is used to calculate the amount to be donated to the action he/she is supporting.
  • At the end of twelve months, the three actions will receive a share of two percent of total sales (minus VAT) in accordance with our members’ selections.
  • Then, we are committed to supporting three different international organizations that have been campaigning for human rights and environmental protection for several years, if not decades.
  • We would select only organizations that are currently campaigning for actions similar to those described in our Fund main page and they will receive two percent of sales (minus VAT) in accordance with our members’ selection.
  • Green-Ethic will only support independent, non political, non religious International Organizations with an outstanding reputation.
  • After twelve months, each member who has registered to our newsletter will be informed by Maître Ludovic Bonnevialle about the amount of money raised for each action and the name of the organizations which have received the donation.
  • The following year, the voting process begins again with three new short-listed actions.

4. Forum

The Forum has been created for members who wish to share their views on environmental issues with other members. We also welcome any views on new topics that could be of interest to this forum. If members wish to suggest a new topic, please contact member services. As we have members from several countries and it would be very difficult to run the forum in several languages, English is the language of choice.
Members are free to express their views without restrictions on the topics mentioned as long as this is always based on the mutual respect of other members. Green-Ethic reserves the right to remove or delete content that is offensive, illegal, obscene, threatening or infringes on the rights of others at its sole discretion. Any violation of this agreement by members may also result in the termination of their membership.

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter we will keep you informed of new products, the progress of our fund and any relevant news about Green-Ethic.

6. Terms and conditions

Any purchase contract made via the website will be with Greenatik SARL, a limited liability company under French law registered in the Angers Trade and Company Register under number 500 358 833, APE 526B, having its registered offices at 2 square La Fayette, 49000 Angers, France.
Green-Ethic must receive full payment of the ordered goods before your order can be processed and the contract formed. Once payment has been received by Green-Ethic and the goods have been despatched to you from our distribution centre we will send an email confirmation to the address that you provided on your registration form. We will also provide you with a reference number to enable you to trace your order.
Please note that we have limited stocks for each product available online. See below for further details.

Delivery
Orders are usually dispatched one working day after the order has been received. Our warehouse operates from Monday to Friday.
All the products on this website can be delivered to the following countries (if your country is not listed below and you wish to purchase Green-Ethic products, please contact us at member.service@green-ethic.net).

Customs charges
In principle there are no import duties for European Union Member States but it is your responsibility to check any legal aspect of the trade with your local authorities. By placing an order you agree that Green-Ethic cannot be held liable for additional charges in relation to customs clearance

Delivery lead times (indication):

  • France: three working days from receipt of the order.
  • Other countries: between five to nine working days from receipt of the order.

Please note that you can group several items together into a single delivery.
All products are subject to availability and we give no guarantee in this regard. However, we make every effort to ensure that all items advertised are currently in stock. If we are unable to satisfy your order from current stock we will inform you by email. You will be offered the choice of cancelling your order or waiting for delivery.

Important:
In the unlikely event that you receive an opened or damaged delivery, DO NOT sign for or accept the parcel. Instruct the driver to return the parcel to us and contact us immediately by email.

7. Returns policy

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY
Green-Ethic has taken every care to describe and photograph items as accurately as possible. We have also included a product description with the size of each product in order to avoid disappointment.
We hope that you will be fully satisfied with your purchase. We do however offer a 100% guarantee that if you are in any way dissatisfied with the product(s) you have ordered, we will offer you an exchange (subject to availability) or refund of the purchase price (we only refund the delivery charges if the item is faulty or different to the one that you requested). Simply complete our online Return Form (please go to contact us and download the Return Form and send it within seven working days) in order to obtain a valid Return Authorisation Number. Please note that item(s) must be returned to us in their original condition and packaging, unworn and unwashed, with all labels intact. Please obtain a certificate of posting as we cannot be held responsible for goods that do not reach us.
